The Honeyclock liberates time from the fractured measurement of the conventional clock. Substituting the mechanical parts with honey, a substance derived from the live and the warm process of nature.
The Honeyclock advocates a slow and rhythmical experience of time, emphasising wholeness, quality and the importance of each moment rather than the quantity, exact measurement and its inevitable companion: stress
The Honeyclock is an artwork conceived by Horst Kornberger as a contribution to the TIME-EMIT exhibition at the Moore’s Building in Fremantle, Western Australia in 2001. The Honeyclock is part of Horst Kornberger’s Icons of the Environmental Age series. The clock was completed with the help of Pulse Art studios.
