The Dreaming Spiral
A dream rarely travels in a straight line. Images appear, disappear and return in another form. One moment flows into the next without needing to explain where it is going.
Dreamtime takes its inspiration from this movement. Its sweeping form curls inward like a spiral, while the strings stretch across the open space within the instrument.
When played, one vibration meets another. Tones overlap, fade and leave space for what follows. Rather than asking for a particular melody, the instrument invites exploration and listening.
Dreamtime is about that spacious territory between intention and imagination — where sound can simply unfold.
Description
Dreamtime is a handcrafted DreamHarp with Stand made from Camphor Laurel.
Its sculptural form brings the harp and stand together as one flowing composition. The natural grain of the timber remains visible throughout, becoming part of the character of the finished instrument.
The DreamHarp is tuned to 432 Hz. Its sound is deep, spacious and resonant, with overlapping tones that can be explored freely through intuitive playing.
Dreamtime can be approached as a musical instrument as well as a piece of functional wooden art — an invitation to explore sound, silence and the space between them.
